3 AI Video Tools That are Useful Today
At our studio, we’ve tested dozens of AI tools.
These three are actually pulling their weight and helping us build campaigns that are succeeding.
When we evaluate a tool, we ask:
What problem does it solve?
Does it support growth — either for us or our clients?
Basically does the tool accelerate efficiency.
If you're sitting on years of case studies, testimonials, demo footage, or social media posts—these tools help transform them into useful content.
1. Riverside.fm
Yes Riverside is a podcast app and that’s its raison d’être. But podcasts and long form content are more useful than ever right now. Podcasts give you brand building and growth opportunities because they’re an easy way to build steady stream of video clips that are repurpose able across all your channels.
Where does AI come in? Riverside is able to easily take your podcast / livestream / direct-to-camera through leadership and convert it into multiple polished deliverables easily. On top of that it can auto generate “magic clips” — basically social media 9x16 videos ready for posting directly from your long form content.
Does it require some tweaking? Of course. But I’ve found their translation, text-video, and easy to use online editor have replace the need to create dozens of short clips and saved our editors tons of time.
Of course you still need high quality material to work with - which AI won’t solve - but this can help make your content workflow a lot more efficient.
How do I know? I run a one myself for one of our projects Comic Book Pros and we just launched our second season.
2. Opus Clip
There are a number of these quick turn apps which are trying to cash in on the AI boom, but when something like Opus Clip is able to create so much value it makes me stop and take notice.
We help manage the content library for many of our clients and one of the key components of this workflow is having a large library where we can draw from to deliver consistently to their audiences.
Opus Clip has allowed us to take videos and content from some libraries that have been built over a decade for platforms like YouTube or Website content and repurpose them into easy to post online clips.
I often advise clients that one of the most effective ways they can grow their audience and nurture their customers is with content that is designed to educate. Never before has it been easier to record great lengthy content expounding on your expertise and turn it into highly effective social clips which are ready to go.
This has transformed a number of content libraries we manage and cut down countless hours from our editing team.
3. Topaz Photo & Video
Topaz is an outlier compared to the previous two because it isn’t made to generate or repurpose content. Instead Topaz Photo has helped create an archival capture workflow that is truly unrivaled and allowed our studio to repurpose material from literal decades ago.
For one our clients they had a large library of archival photos and slides which they needed to capture in the highest possible resolution — after all, this was their story and they knew it was tremendously valuable.
In another project, a documentary film I’m directing, we had to convert hundreds of old images to stand up along the 4k master of our film. While the interface can be a little janky, under the hood Topaz Photo performed some incredible work — allowing massive upscales that are tremendously clean and detailed.
For anyone trying to bring an archival library to life, this is currently unrivaled.
Honorable Mention: Sora
The honorable mention which I’ve posted about before is Sora, which incredibly now has no limits for generation if you are an OpenAI subscriber. On this front there are both legal and ethical concerns, but I continue to be impressed by the quality.
For now I have fun generating thumbnails for these posts.
Where does it leave us?
These tools won’t replace your creativity—but they can unlock hidden potential in your archive.
We’re using them to grow campaigns by filling the calendar with minimal overhead.
